Data & charts updated every block
This chart represents the total number of blocks mined each day. While Bitcoin is designed to mine 144 blocks per day (6 blocks/hr * 24 hours), it is rare for this to occur exactly. Due to variance in hashing power on the network and unavoidable imperfections in Bitcoin’s difficulty adjustment, this is merely a target. This chart attempts to report the actual blocks per day while using a 10-day moving average (so it is still not perfect).
We take the total number of blocks mined on a given day and average it with the previous 9 days.
